My Brother Nelson and pretty scarves?

Who is this smiling man? He is my brother, Nelson. We call him Pastor Nelson at the CURE Hospital in Mbale, Uganda. He is such a dear brother in Christ. We have so much in common and every time we are together we just enjoy 'visiting' and praying together. Nelson's passion for people is infectious. He loves to share the good news of salvation with everyone who comes to his home or the hospital.
Pastor Nelson trained as a nurse, so we like to share nursing stories. When we go together for the mobile clinics, it is wonderful to watch him in action.....administering first aid for aches, pains and cuts etc and spiritual first aid to those who need a healing word or comfort from the Bible.  Since, God's Word is a passion in my life, we love to sit over tea and share what we are learning from our studies in the scripture.
What is he doing? In this picture, Pastor Nelson was helping distribute scarves to the caregivers. The scarves had been donated by kind women in the USA. They had been prayed over and sent with God's love! This act of kindness was so well received that our GO Team Uganda is bringing some more scarves donated by women from churches in Lexington, KY. We hope to have the opportunity to physically give them to the mothers at the hospital and share Christ's love through this small tangible item. Thank you to all who collected scarves!
